This technique identifies who has done their Shared House Responsibility and, if everyone has completed theirs, who has been the STAR!!! You can identify this person in a number of ways - poster with everyone's names, a gift with acknowledgement during community dinner, a crown on their door tag or a grand prize! This is great positive affirmation of people's contributions to the house cleanliness and can get competitive...
Instructions
Space
Your house common area depending on what you want to do
Supplies
Personally funded or Student Life
Step by Step
This technique relies on your ability to be aware of who is and isn't cleaning in your community. Be aware that once you start this system residents will be taking note of one another and if they feel someone has been unjustly rewarding they may say so! This is a system where someone wins and other people lose so if you aren't able to feel fair in possibly giving the reward to the same person more than once then you might want to think of a point system or an overall house goal that can be earned by all of the house members for everyone to enjoy. Residents enjoy being acknowledge for the things they have succeeded at and this definitely became a hit in my community - they started badgering me if I forgot!
Adjustments
A house goal level with a community prize
Everyone has the chance to win their own prize each week
Changing the prize to whatever you feel would motivate your residents within reason
